Open-Labeled, Randomized, Prospective Controlled Clinical Study to Assess Efficacy of Rasayana Churna and Pranayama in the Management of Rajonivritti Lakshanas w. s. r. to Postmenopausal Syndrome

Background: In modern science, hormonal replacement therapy (HRT) is the only alternative for postmenopausal syndrome whereas non-hormonal pharmacologic therapies have been shown to be less effective than therapy. So, it was assumed that Rasayana Churna along with Pranayama would in relieving symptoms. Objective: assess clinical efficacy of and management Rajonivritti Lakshanas w. s. r. Postmenopausal Syndrome. Methods: The present open-labeled, randomized, prospective controlled study conducted after IEC approval. Total 60 female patients suffering from Syndrome were enrolled randomized into two groups i. e. Group A & B. 30 given orally daily practice advised. Patients B advised consecutive 12 weeks. results assessed by using Menopausal Rating Scale (MRS) Menopause-Specific Quality Life Questionnaire (MENQOL). Results: significant difference observed MRS-Total score MENQOL scores treatment both groups. Out four scales MENQOL, vasomotor, physical psychological showed improvement group received regimen as compared Pranayama. Only change sexual scale found similar groups’ patients. Conclusion: It can inferred more efficacious post-menopausal
